HANNAH HARRIS-SUTRO
tara l_0.jpg Hannah grew up in a small coastal town in southern California where you can’t drive three blocks without hitting a yoga studio. Though she began meditating in Sunday School at the age of three, she did not begin a regular asana practice until after her first year of isolation- and winter-induced depression in Montréal. The mind-body meld of meditation in motion kept her coming back, and she completed her teacher training in Ashtanga in 2011. Her teaching is focused on bringing students into the present moment, increasing body awareness and connectivity, and cultivating acceptance and contentment within each moment and each body, whatever its morphology, capability, or experience. She believes strongly in making yoga accessible and creating space for those who find themselves on the margins of most yoga communities, and to that end teaches pay-what-you-can classes for queer and trans students and allies. www.queeryoga.com
