MICHELLE SANDS (co-owner)
B.Sc., R.Y.T and Certified Pilates Instructor)
Michelle completed her Yoga Teacher Training at 7 Centres Yoga Arts in Sedona, Arizona (now the home of the American Yoga College). Her background includes work in Classical Hatha, Ashtanga and Iyengar as well as dance, movement and Pilates training. Her classes combine her passion for physical alignment and a sense of play.
She is also a certified Pilates Instructor (both for mat classes and using the Pilates machines such as the reformer and the Caddilac) and she now has a Reformer set up in the studio. She is most passionate about the Pilates principals of balance, harmony and moving from the centre. As, well as Pilates' ability to help people connect with their bodies and lead happier and in many cases, pain-free lives.
Michelle teaches group classes for the community and in schools as well as working privately with idividuals such as athletes and post-rehab clients.
Michelle is currently pursuing a masters degree at Concordia University. |
